How to Make More Sales Than a $5 Dollar Hooker

from The Dadpreneur Daily · host Adam Dukes

Writer's block... You ever struggle with it?  Lately, I have been using some email prompts from my buddy Conrad. His partner Donnie and himself, compiled a list of topics to write about. Actually, 1,095 ideas, to be exact.  They found weird holidays for everyday of the year.  Put them into several PDFs.  Not only that, but they give you three angles to write about for each day. This ensures you'll never sit at your computer thinking.. WTF DO I WRITE ABOUT?!?! We all been there. I am pushing Conrad to get the sales page up, so I can share it with you. This works for emails, social media posts, blog posts, podcast topics, video ideas, etc.  You're only limited by your imagination.  How strange is this?  Today marks the 37th anniversary of the first computer virus being released "into the wild".  Ironically, the kids are both home sick today.  Both battling a nasty cough.  Dad's starting to catch it as well, along with a sore throat.  For years, I thought I had a bulletproof immune system.  Then I had kids.  If you're a parent, you're likely viciously nodding your head right now.  You can relate.  Anywhoo... I was messing around on Twitter earlier, and saw a guy bring up something interesting.  He's in the eCom space, and said a year ago the LED dog collar was all the rage.  People were making truckloads of mon-ey from it.  People started piling on, like they typically do, in the dropshipping space. Like with everything, good things come to an end.  The product started to die off.  It got too saturated.  99.7% of dropshippers move on to find another product.  Except this one guy.  He came up with a different angle.  He positioned it as "Protect your dog from getting hit by a car at night". He quickly was making more sales than a $5 dollar hooker.  This works for services or products.  Angles, and tapping into emotion, is ENORMOUS business.  Look at Apple.  They don't have the best phone.  I have one, and I know that.  However, they sell status & emotion, and it's worked alright for them.
