Megan Niederwerder is an assistant professor of diagnostic medicine and pathobiology in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University. She has spent years researching how feed and feed ingredients can serve as vectors for viral disease in swine. She talks about her recently published work in the journal Animals on the risk and mitigation of the African swine fever virus in feed.
