How to Negotiate Your Job Offer

Congratulations!  BUT ... do you accept the offer immediately?  NO!  And I'll tell you why ...With your skills and experience, the fact that you have been offered the job means that they want you.  When the offer is on the table, you are in the strongest position to negotiate the offer.Of course you can accept the offer as it stands but it's better to take time to go over the contract with a fine tooth comb and ensure that each and every aspect of the offer is what you are happy with.If there is anything that you are not sure about, then you can go back to your hiring manager or recruiter and ask, "Is there room for negotiation?"What's the worst thing that could happen?  They may say, "There's no room for negotiation, the offer is as it stands."  That's not so bad is it?  At least you know!However ... if they say, "What would you like to negotiate?"
