How to Overcome Fear and Negativity - Adiel Gorel and Chad Lefevre Explain

from The Adiel Gorel Show · host Adiel Gorel

How to Overcome Fear and Negativity Why do we always react with fear to some stimuli and why do we recall negative experiences more than positive ones? Are we hardwired to do this or is it possible to rewire the brain? Entrepreneurs and wellness seekers Adiel Gorel and Chad Lefevre explore ways in which we can overcome some of our evolutionary impulses, and rewire our brains to achieve happiness, success, and health. Listen now!   Key Insights:   When faced with a stressful situation our first reaction is fear, which makes us freeze. However, it is possible to overcome this instinctive fear, which prevents us from reaching for happiness and satisfaction.   While technology has progressed massively, the internal human system is still operating in a primitive hunter gatherer stage. With effort, we can align our instinctive reactions with the modern world.   The Negativity Bias means that the human brain will focus on the one negative experience even when there have been 99 positive experiences. Shifting this focus is difficult but not impossible.   Savoring the positive experiences of life for 10 seconds is one tool to rewire the brain towards positivity. Giving gratitude for the blessings in one's life is another such tool.   Is it our biology that shapes our experiences or is it the other way around? Recent research suggests that it is possible to actually change the physical structure of the brain by changing the way we feel and experience fear and negativity.   Author, Investment Expert and Wellness Advocate Adiel Gorel isn't just an expert in his chosen fields but also a storyteller who makes complex issues easily accessible.
