The assimilation period into the American culture was not an easy process, but one that has been rewarding at every level of my life. As a teenage mom, struggling to make ends meet, I knew I needed to go back to school, and do something – I just couldn’t figure out what...  At the age of 19 years old, I met a group of strong-minded, caring, and compassionate nurses while working as a temp at United Health Care. That’s where my love for helping and caring for the needs of others took center stage. and I knew then that I wanted to be a nurse. It was then that I was introduced to the home care field and the needs of the elderly in the community. At the age of 21 I remember saying that one day, I would own a Home Care agency that will focus on improving the lives of the people we served, but we will also focus on treating our caregivers with dignity and respect.  At that young age, I started the journey to pursue a degree in nursing.   Now I am a master’s prepared registered nurse with over 14 years of clinical, and leadership experience who owns her own home care agency.  Dreams do come true 😊 I strongly believe in leading a life of purpose and my purpose in life is to care for the needs of others, whether is helping someone with a bath, taking care of a patient in an ICU bed, helping solve patient care issues in the hospital or just helping one of our caregivers solve a client care issue - I am at home when I am of service. _____________________________________________________________________ Contact Kim Hegwood- Elder Law Attorney Website: https://yourlegacylegalcare.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/yourlegacylegalcare/ Facebook –https://www.facebook.com/YourLegacyLegalCare LinkedIn-https://www.linkedin.com/company/yourlegacylegalcare/ YouTube- https://www.youtube.com/@yourlegacylegalcare
