One of the main points here is that yes, Astral  projection is ultimately safe and in most cases you'll wake up if you  have a bad experience. However, these negative experiences can ruin or  end our OBEs, when it doesn't have to be like that. So these are ways to  handle those situations instead of just feeling fear or waking up. An extra tip to note is that evil beings usually try to hypnotise you into a trance-like state. Therefore, if you meditate often and  understand how not to be hypnotised by your own thoughts, then you  naturally won't be as easily hypnotised in the Astral either - just something to think about!
