(I don’t know anyone here.)Zvyky na prvého májaPrvá májová noc z 30. apríla na 1. mája bola spojená so silou temnoty. Počas tejto noci sa všetky bosorky, strigy a strigôni z okolia stretli na tmavých miestach, či križovatkách, aby vymysleli stratégiu, ako zničiť čo najviac políčok novovysadených rastlín. Všetci farmári sa preto vždy stretli na jednom mieste a postupne prechádzali cez dedinu a robili veľký hluk, aby ich odplašili. Pastieri vystupovali na kopce, trúbili na rohy a práskali bičmi, aby odohnali bosorky. Dedinčania zdobili svoje domy vetvami borievky a na svoje hospodárske zvieratá vešali girlandy kvetov a bylín. Verilo sa, že prvá májová rosa a dážď majú zvláštne schopnosti a preto sa používali na prinesenie dobrého zdravia, na liečenie a aj zabezpečenie bohatej úrody. ....... A tak, ako čas plynul, zvyky sa vyvíjali, miešali sa s modernosťou, pričom stále ctili staré tradície.
