Občania EÚ potrebujú na vstup do Slovenskej Republuky len platný cestovný doklad, prípadne identifikačnú kartu. Ak sa cudzinec tretej krajiny rozhodne bývať na Slovensku, musí sa zaregistrovať a požiadať o povolenie na pobyt.
