How to "Skip the Marketing" and Still Close Sales- With Jay Fairbrother

from Flow Rising · host Flow Rising

In this episode of Flow Working the Entrepreneur's Podcast, I sat down for a chat with marketing coach Jay Fairbrother.  We chatted about money, marketing, and why the traditional sales funnel often fails to help coaches grow a sustainable business.   The traditional marketing funnel has you gaining hundreds or thousands of leads only to have a handful spit out the bottom. This approach can be draining, frustrating, and downright expensive for many people.  Coaches, who by nature are service-based people often struggle to convert leads to clients at the bottom of the funnel which makes it even more stressful.    Jay focuses his programs to help coaches find better ways to get to their ideal clients without the need for expensive upfront marketing funnels. One of the key factors around getting more from your marketing is understanding how money plays into the whole picture.  When it comes to profits Jay knows many coaches struggle because they want to help others first and make money second.   He had this to say about making money, "...a lot of people do have issues around money and quote, unquote, profit, you know, they don't want to be greedy. They want to serve people they and you know, it's really sometimes tough to really get out of that, that mindset, first of all, just to accept the fact that it's okay to actually make money. And so I have an exercise I do called your profit, why? Which is kind of like your business, why Simon Sinek kind of thing. But it takes it from the perspective of just profit. So it's an exercise that kind of walks you through, you know, let's look at you know, not only that you're okay with it, the word and make money."   Calling coaches who are ready to get more out of their sales and spend less on the marketing!
