Renee Gilbert is a USATF-certified running coach and ACE-ceritfied personal trainer specializing in physical and mental coaching for training, goal setting and workout preparedness. A veteran of 17 marathons, Renee has raced four Boston Marathons (with qualifying times), the New York Marathon, the Philadelphia Marathon and the Chicago Marathon among others, as well as countless road races including 10K distance and half marathon distance. After working in the fashion and the publishing fields, Renee started run coaching in 2003 with the New York Road Runners running classes. Over the course of her career, she has coached runners of every level, from beginners to competitive marathoners for races varying from 5K to the marathon distance. Renee works with runners and athletes at all ends of the age spectrum. She currently coaches high school cross country and track teams at a private school in Manhattan, works for the New York Road Runners coaching older adults with their Striders program, and sees private clients for training. Through her company Run+Strength, Renee offers a comprehensive range of coaching services including: goal setting and mental preparedness for training, individualized movement/ strength and gait assessment, strength training, game-day strategy, older adult and youth fitness. She is available to work in either one on one or group settings, via in-person or remote training sessions.
