Having overthrown and driven into the shadows all who were undesirable, totalitarian, and centralized, the Digital Resistance established a stateless system of total control and automation. Very quickly, certain algorithms and robots entered into corrupt arrangements with humans. Machines and people stole money from anything and everything they could, moving it through countless offshore havens and accumulating every possible form of wealth. There was no master plan behind it. It was a process for the sake of the process itself.
