How to successfully grow a magnolia tree.

Today I was paid a bunch of money to go tell a woman why her magnolia tree was not doing well. She actually did not want to hear what I had to say but instead drove me over to a neighbor's house in a gated community to look at her beautiful Magnolias and she wanted me to explain to her why hers didn't look that good..
