How to Use "The Foundation Blocks of Biblical Prayer." A Lesson from French Jonah.
from Free Range Preacher on Prayer · host Fred
About 2.5 years ago or so, French asked his mom for a Bible, not a kids' Bible, and she, of course, said yes. As he walked away, he told her, emphatically, "And I'm gonna read it!" The amazing part is that he was just starting to learn to read at the time, and he taught himself to read with that Bible! His only motivation for his work was his desire to read the Bible. Thank You, Jesus. It was fitting that French, whom I affectionately call Baby French, chose Psalm 4 as the psalm he wanted to read and learn about prayer from. This psalm, penned by David, offers some of the most comforting promises in the Holy Writ, providing solace and reassurance in times of need. "But know that the LORD has set apart the godly man for Himself; The LORD hears when I call to Him." And "In peace I will both lie down and sleep, For Thou alone, O LORD, dost make me to dwell in safety." Psalm 4:3 and 8 French struggles a little with fears, especially at bedtime, so to know…well you can listen to French pray for his and our peace and praise from What a blessing!
