How to write Hook, Dracula and Contact with Screenwriter James Hart

Giles and regular co-host Lucinda Rhodes Thakrar chat to screenwriter and producer James V. Hart, known for his writing on Hook, Bram Stocker’s Dracula and Contact. Jim expands on his story mapping tool The Hart Chart, how it came about when re-writing Dracula with Francis Ford Coppola, and how he has used it ever since in his own and writing and to help other screenwriters through workshops. We get a full backstory into how Hook and Dracula went from the scripts no one wanted before eventually getting noticed and picked up by Spielberg and Coppola.
