How Tyrod Taylor outlasted his draft class

The Green Bay Packers have officially signed Tyrod Taylor to serve as the veteran backup for starting quarterback Jordan Love for the 2026 season. As a seasoned professional entering his sixteenth year in the NFL, Taylor is expected to provide leadership and stability to a relatively young roster. His reputation for a diligent work ethic and immense technical knowledge makes him a valuable asset for mentoring the team's emerging talents. This acquisition follows the departure of Malik Willis, who recently moved on to a starting role with the Miami Dolphins. Coaches and executives believe Taylor’s wealth of experience across multiple franchises will significantly benefit the team's offensive development. By adding such a tenured player, the organization aims to ensure the quarterback room remains competitive and well-supported.
