Volkswagen is developing in-house battery technology through its subsidiary PowerCo, constructing cell factories in Germany, Spain, and Canada to secure supply chains for electric vehicles. Volkswagen is partnering with QuantumScape to advance solid-state battery technology, achieving test results of 95 percent capacity retention after 1,000 charging cycles.
