I know I've been saying that I will get into it and talk about how the vacation went and let's get into it. So we arrived at our destination. We went to Cabo for our family vacation last Tuesday, and we were there for one week. We stayed at an all-inclusive resort and TL;DR it was such a good vacation, y'all. Like, I have to say, of course, it had its shares of ups and downs, but all in all, it was such a memorable and fun vacation. The resort we stayed at was called the Riu Santa Fe, and it was such a cool space. It's known for being like a party resort kind of destination, but there is still so much to do for us as a family. They had a waterpark that was specifically for kids so it was amazing. All of us had so much fun. And then on top of that, our food and drink was included. I mean, how can you be upset about that? Granted, the food wasn't like exceptional, but it was good for all inclusive. I have to say that Charlie and I, we travel through food and we get to know cultures through food, so we didn't get that, you know, authentic Mexican food experience, but considering we are a young family that hasn't taken a vacation altogether like this ever, we knew that we were going to want to be at a place where we could kind of stay on property that had the amenities that we're looking for and Riu Santa Fe definitely delivered that. So if you are a family and want to take a trip to Cabo, I highly recommend Riu Santa Fe. It was very good. We had a great time. Now, on top of that though, I do have to say, like I said, there were a share of ups and a share of downs. So let's get into like what happened and it started even before we even got on the plane. So my 2-year-old Angelie, she got a slight fever before we even left home. We knew that that was gonna be like, oh boy, something's happening. And we had the feeling it was either a cold of some kind or it was, um, some kind of growth spurt because both of our kids, whenever they're about to like go through like a developmental change or go through a growth spurt, they do get a slight fever. And it wasn't one of those fevers that we were like, oh my gosh. Like, you know, her fever is climbing. It wasn't anything like that, but it was just kind of that constant sort of low fever. So we had the feeling that something was up. So it started even before we left. So I packed Tylenol for her, but that was basically it.She ended up needing to take Motrin as well. She had a cold, so she also needed to take cold medicine. And then while we were at the resort, she ended up getting an ear infection because we were in the pool pretty much all the time. The kids were just having such a blast going swimming, especially because they've been taking swimming lessons and they didn't need any floaties or anything like that, so they were just having the best time. But because of that and because she couldn't communicate quite yet that she was getting water stuck in her ear. She developed an ear infection. Luckily, the resort has a doctor on site and was able to see her and give her some antibiotics for that. But of course, you know, it was just one of those things. And then on top of that Micah ended up catching whatever Gelie had, so he had some kind of cold. He ended up needing to take cold medicine for it. I also got an ear infection because I got water stuck in my ear. I didn't see a doctor. I just got some water drops from the drugstore, but not before. I had to endure some pain for a couple days, but it got better thankfully. The only one that almost went unscathed was Charlie, but he ended up catching that cold that we all ended up getting right before we left to come back home. So aside from all the health stuff, we had a really great vacation. Like I said, the resort was awesome. We loved how expansive it was, and we were kind of able to just relax. You know, we didn't have a, an agenda or anything like that, and we just played it by ear. It was really nice. It was the perfect amount of vacation for us. We were all sad to leave Cabo, but we were also happy and excited to come home.So this past week, ever since we arrived back home, has been getting back into our home routine. Today was the first day of school, so that's also why my Monday Musings episode. Today is coming out super late because it's just been a hectic week. We've had to schedule production for product restocks on our Amazon store, on our online store, on all the things we are changing online store platforms. So we're working on that. This week, we're jumping back into consulting meetings. We're starting up our farmer's markets again, it's just this game of catch up. On things that we, we had put pause on, and I'm so grateful. I'm so grateful that we have all these projects happening because we have been waiting for this moment of feeling like the momentum is finally moving in our favor, and we want to maximize and capitalize on this momentum and keep it going. All right, fam.
