Rheumatoid arthritis is an inflammatory autoimmune disorder that affects the joints and can also impact other organs. It is characterized by morning stiffness, joint swelling, and symmetrical joint involvement. Osteoarthritis, on the other hand, is a wear and tear condition that primarily affects the joints. It is worsened by joint use and is associated with the development of osteophytes. The diagnosis of these conditions is based on clinical symptoms, serological markers, and imaging.
