We learnt about human civilisation standing inside the oldest temple on earth.Someone in the Telegraph comments said we took a huge risk with our children's education.In this episode Irenka joins me to go back through eight years of boat schooling, the methods that worked, the ones that didn't, and the day she cancelled all formal schooling in the Galapagos and the kids actually protested. She was up at night learning algebra just to stay one page ahead. Three kids, 3 completely different learners, and not one of them learned the way we planned.Darry sat his IGCSEs in a Kuala Lumpur apartment with the call to prayer coming through the walls five times a day. Rowan was offered a university scholarship before her results were even known. Yewan is in secondary school in Brighton and doing fine.We don't always agree on what happened.
