How We Engage With The World

Morning Mantra: “We cannot choose whether to engage with the world, only how to.”Oh believe me, there are days when I wish I didn’t have to go out into the world.Those are the days that I’ve decided in my head that it is too big, too scary, too chaotic, too sad.Therefore, I engage with it as a fearful, stressed out, depressed person.Not much fun to be around and certainly not living as my best self.On those days I must actively choose not to focus on those things.I must choose to focus on the beauty, the joy, the little things that I can manage.I must choose to be helpful, be patient, be kind.When I do, things change.
