How We Wait for God

It means not giving up or giving into our circumstances. On a personal level we may have a need for companionship and intimacy. But we aren’t going to settle for being with someone who doesn’t really love, honor or respect us. On a financial level we may have a need for money. But we are not going to lie, cheat, steal, degrade ourselves, or exploit someone’s ignorance or weakness to get it. We decline to gain our acceptance by gossiping about, mocking or ridiculing those who aren’t accepted. We stand up for ourselves and others without being driven by bitterness and hatred. We refuse to make fear driven decisions.
