Good morning everyone, today's topic is How would you respond when I ask how is your self-talk? This article was published in Illumination, a subtopic, a sub-publication of medium.com and the sub heading is do you build or beat yourself in your self-talk? I practice a few rituals in the morning that help me integrate and live my body emotions and mind model. One such ritual is saying affirmations.

I have observed that by saying affirmations loudly in front of the mirror, I get to see myself, hear my voice, watch my body language and feel my face. To me, it serves as a perfect coordination of how I'm physically showing up, emotionally feeling and mentally present to what I'm affirming. I started seeing affirmations several years back when I lost my job and embraced self-employment as a blessing in disguise. Saying these affirmations have tremendously helped me move through major life transformations from a mother to empty nester to mother-in-law to grandmother smoothly.

In a professional arena, saying affirmations have helped me be determined with grit and gratitude when expectations are not met. In the following article, I shared how consistently saying an affirmation from Louisa's book, Meditations to Heal Your Life, describing the word trust, trust. Open me up to four new ways of thinking. I invite you to read it.

Read it in the article titled, Read This If You Say, I Cannot Trust the Process of Life. As a personal development enthusiast, when I converse with myself and others, I pay attention to the words used. Are they positive or negative? Are they making me feel abundant or lacking?

And are they helping me gain personal energy or are they draining my energy? How did I become that way? By doing several morning rituals and one of them was by saying affirmations on traits that I needed to improve. Today, I would like you to read the following affirmation aloud in front of the bitter for the word self-talk.

I allow my thoughts. My inner dialogue is kind and loving. I have a unique role to play on this earth and I also have the tools to do the job. The thoughts I think and the words I speak are my incredibly powerful tools.

I use them and I enjoy what they produce for me. Meditation, prayer or 10 minutes of affirmation in the morning are wonderful. And I get better results when I'm consistent all day long. I remember that it's the moment to moment thinking that is really shaping my life.

The point of power, the place where I make changes is always right here and right now. So just for a moment, I catch the thought I'm thinking right now and ask myself, do I want the thought to create? Do I want this thought to create my future? So this is what I read that affirmation was taken from the book, self from the book, meditation to heal your life and the heading of that particular page is self-talk.

And then I've given the link to Louisa's official page. You can go and check it out. There are so many products and services that are offered. How did I put the above affirmation to use in my daily life?

I became conscious of the words I use and changed my inner dialogue from You are not good enough, Louisa, to you are valuable, your divine and you're good enough. Consistently saying the above words created a new mindset that my thoughts and words are incredibly powerful tools and not to be just ignored or thrown away. Even though I have heard from several spiritual masters that the point of power in is in the present moment, internalizing the above words helped me catch the thought. I'm thinking every moment and change it if it did not empower me or did not give me a feeling of expansiveness.

It's not easy to do this. However, just like regularly brushing our teeth helps keep them clean, the habit of consistently saying the above-mission helps empower self-talk. Shout out and thanks to Matt Giario for the thought-provoking article. Why I stopped chasing followers and what do I do instead?
