How YouTuber Erin Busbee Established Herself As The #1 Fashion Channel For Women Over 40

from The YouTube Power Hour Podcast · host Erika Vieira

Who’s ready for a super value-packed, deep and exciting episode about YouTube growth, from someone who’s seen it all for the past 6 years? I don’t think you’re ready! Fashion YouTuber, Erin Busbee aka Busbee Style is here and she was so generous with her time and with all her YouTube secrets. If you want to learn how to go from a trickle of views, to constantly over a million views a month and swimming in affiliate income, you’re in for a treat! “If you can take more of a strategic approach, you can grow faster.” Erin was working in TV news as a journalist, but after getting married and moving to Texas, that was a life she didn’t want to go back to. Instead of getting another job, her husband encouraged her to take that time to pursue her passion. She wasn’t sure what that was, but she knew what was on her heart was “helping women feel pretty”. That led her to start a business consulting women on their wardrobe - organizing their closets and being their personal shopper. The more it grew, the more restless she felt. She wanted to help even more women, and scale the business more and more. But scaling it by training others to do her job wasn’t giving her the satisfaction she desired. So, blogging and YouTube was born. That was in 2014, now almost 6 years later, she has almost 300k subscribers and gets over 1 million views a month helping women in their late 30s to 60s look and feel pretty! “Keep pushing your creativity and adding freshness and excitement for your regular viewers.” Even though her channel is at almost 300k subscribers now, a year later after her channel started, in 2015, she was at 10k subscribers and barely growing. At a rewardStyle event, she met someone who grew her channel really fast, and that gave her the inspiration that it was possible for her too. So she dove into research and brought a new level of focus and energy to her channel and it started to pay off. She doubled her subscribers in 2018 to 86k, and now, not even 2 years later, she’s shattered that record. In this episode, we’re diving deep into her process. She breaks down exactly how she coordinates her team, exactly how she uses analytics - and how you can too - to optimize her videos for people to watch from start to end, she breaks down how she creates her viral hits so predictably for a niche that isn’t very large, she breaks down how she runs her blog, YouTube, her IG, and social media seamlessly - and has all of them thriving, and so much more. Enjoy! “Give your viewers what they want and need and you’ll perform better.” Check out the show notes Join the Zero to Influence Bootcamp waitlist Download your FREE guide: 6 Tools YouTubers Use to Get Thousands of Video Views Don't forget to join the Beauty and the Vlog Facebook group for collaborations, YouTube advice, support and more!
