And although my mother converted to Judaism when I was very young, she instilled a deep affection and respect for the Christian faith within our family. Being brought up as a Jew, I studied the Hebrew language as it applied to the Old Testament and underwent my Bar Mitzvah at age thirteen. I regularly attended Sabbath services and religious study classes at our neighborhood Jewish Temple until the age of fifteen. And although I had come to feel a deep bond with God, shortly afterwards I drifted away from religious thought and practice altogether. In my early twenties I earned a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and began full time employment, having no further reverence or consideration for religion, whatsoever.
