Howard University Requires Athletes to Stand for Anthem

Howard University’s athletics department has introduced a new policy requiring athletes to either stand during the national anthem or remain in the locker room. The change follows a December women’s basketball game where players knelt during the anthem as part of a protest against racial injustice.
