from Heart Pocket Podcast · host Heart Pocket Podcast
Since late 2017, after several Simply The Story instructors completed a training, Bible storytelling has permeated the Lemba congregation in Zimbabwe and reached into fringe sects. People are being impacted and an Oral Bible School has been planted. Today's show: Integrating STS Storytelling Community Impact STS Oral Bible School Nestled away in the remote areas of Zimbabwe, lives the Lemba people. Their blood lineage, as well as their history, traces back to Israel around the time of their return from the Babylonian exile. After settling in Yemen for centuries with their foreign wives, the Lemba people suffered persecution when Islam arose. The people then crossed the Red Sea and into the horn of Africa and finally settling in Zimbabwe, Mozamique and other places. Their Jewish roots, religious practices, and holy ceremonies stem from the Scriptures. Some of the Lemba people are the Messianic believers who have placed their trust in Jesus, or Yeshua, as the promised Savior. Hear the story of what God is doing in their midst from Bill Bjoraker, a professor in Jewish history and Messianic studies, as he interviews Godwill and Rumbi. Links ...
