Despite facing massive adversity throughout the season—including numerous player injuries and Coach Cooke himself undergoing surgery to donate a kidney to fellow Coach Ronnie MacMahan just before the post-season—the team rallied to win 14 of their last 15 games. Coach Cooke reflects on how his years of experience have taught him to play the "long game" rather than focus on immediate early-season results, which proved vital in guiding this unique and special group of seniors to victory.
