Tate is joined by Derek Day, the special teams coordinator and outside linebackers coach at Eastern Kentucky University. During their discussion, Day talks about the football recruiting trip to middle Tennessee and his time as a coach in the state. Day explains how the recruiting process has changed over time with the transfer portal and NIL. He shares some of the things the EKU coaching staff looks for in recruits: Character - coach Wells looks for kids that are tough, unselfish, and love football. Grades - Day says it's much easier to cross a kid's name off the recruiting list if they don't respond to coaches or have bad grades.
