Sancho Ortiz de Matienzo es uno de esos personajes olvidados por la historia. Natural de Villasana de Mena (Burgos) llego a ser un personaje sumamente importante en el S. XV y XVI, Siendo Canónigo de la Catedral de Sevilla, Tesorero de la Catedral de Burgos, Abad de Jamaica, y el primer funcionario publico en la Casa de Contratación de Sevilla, lo que le sirvió para estar en contacto con personajes de la Talla de Colon, Magallanes, Cortes, y otros muchos descubridores que se embarcaron para el Continente Americano. Sin lugar a dudas un programa interesante para adentrarse en uno de los momentos históricos mas fascinantes de todos los tiempos.
