Hug I got something to say, you know I think I really must I want an untimed, untamed, full body hug that can just Take back my regrets, melt down those miles and years, The friction can fuse my blues and wrap up the laughter and tears, And it feels like something that for so long, you wanted, but could not put your finger on Like when you cannot clear your head of a song Yes, that first kiss, how that taste can linger on That kind of hug, magical formation of a bond You can try so hard, and it might never come along You can‘t describe it to your friends, can’t explain just how it felt But when you wrap your arms around her, all your worries start to melt And it feels like something that for so long, you wanted, but could not put your finger on Like when you cannot clear your head of a song Yes, that first kiss, how that taste can linger on Here’s fair warning, come the sunny day when next we meet I am going to lift you off the ground, baby you can swing your feet Hold you so tight, create some spontaneous combustion Melt the blues away, let the rivers of joy come rushing And it feels like something that for so long, you wanted, but could not put your finger on Like when you cannot clear your head of a song Yes, that first kiss, how that taste can linger on Tim Windisch 3/17/2017
