This dominant performance provides a great deal of momentum for BYU as they navigate their new conference schedule.In Lubbock, Texas Tech’s high-powered offense was on full display in a 67-7 victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff. The Red Raiders scored early and often, putting the game out of reach by halftime and allowing their depth to get valuable game experience. The team's ability to put up such a large number of points so early in the season bodes well for their offensive identity moving forward.Meanwhile, Kansas State had a closer call, but still managed to come away with a 38-35 win against North Dakota. The Wildcats were tested by their opponent, but made key plays when it mattered most to secure the victory. Arizona State also started the season on the right foot with a 38-19 win over Northern Arizona. Their defense was solid, forcing turnovers and creating pressure, which helped their offense establish a comfortable lead.
