Huggins Enters UC Athletic Hall of Fame

Bob Huggins, Naismith Hall of Fame legend and former Cincinnati Bearcats coach, just earned another major honor: induction into the University of Cincinnati’s James P. Kelly Athletic Hall of Fame. Two players from his 1992 Final Four team personally delivered the news to him in Morgantown. Already celebrated with Naismith and Ohio Basketball Hall of Fame honors, Huggins transformed Cincinnati basketball when he arrived in 1989, leading them to their first Final Four since 1963 and a 14-year NCAA Tournament streak. His legacy, including multiple titles and tournament wins, will be formally recognized on October 23rd at Fifth Third Arena—just before homecoming—solidifying his place in Cincinnati’s athletic history.
