Human

from Savage · host Savage

After a long period of time where I've been writing and singing songs in my room I am finally going to record a few. Here is my first. This is the first time I've worked with any recording and editing software so bear with me. I am still learning. The song is quite cynical. I'll post the lyrics and I would love to here how people interpret them. I love feedback! Thanks for the support! Human It seems so hard to listen with people runnin' round everybody's speaking singing laughing, but nobody makes any sounds. If you pressed your ear to the body of my guitar you'd feel, but still be unmoved you beat the time on your own drum but to someone else's groove Realize where you stand No taller than anything you're a human You're blinded by evening's darkness eyes too shut to see the moon just once look up and see those eyes staring back at you It's not enough to say that you have faith in a god above live in tune with the life around you let it teach you to love It could only be a second breathe it in Gone and won't come back till God knows when We exercise a freedom which only we posess to be trapped in our own kingdom and curse what we beget these conciously blind people saying syllables that sound like words there's a choir singing loudly, but not a voice is to be heard Realize where you stand No taller than anything You're a human
