Human Pace │ Heal Burnout

from Witchy Woman Walking · host Cate

Are you exhausted? Do you find yourself fatigued even after a good night’s sleep? Are you twisting yourself into knots trying to stay on top of and keep up with everything? If so, you might be living beyond human pace and human scale. For hundreds of thousands of years our species lived as hunter-gatherers, living a human-paced life. Today, we live at break-neck speed, and in a constant state of over-consumption of information. We are not wired for this incessant processing of content and stimulation. It’s no wonder we’re exhausted! In today’s episode, we’ll talk about how to slow down, how to mono-task, and how to reconnect with the simple joys of life at human pace. This is powerful magic! What am I reading?I See You’ve Called in Dead by John Kenneyhttps://bookshop.org/a/111301/9798989923014Too Much: A Guide to Breaking the Cycle of High-Functioning Codependency by Terri Colehttps://bookshop.org/a/111301/9781649631862https://bookshop.org/shop/witchywomanwalkingWhat’s playing on repeat?Flathead by the Fratellis What’s for dinner? All the Greens SaladIngredients:Iceberg lettuce1 cucumber Fresh dillFresh parsleyFresh basilDressing:1 cup fresh spinach 1/2 avocado 2-3 tablespoons olive oil1/2 cup apple cider vinegar1/3 cup bread and butter pickles with juiceGarlic (as much as you like)Salt and pepperInstructions: Wash and chop the greens, cucumber, and fresh herbs.
