Human Trafficking in Indian Country

In this week’s Podcast, Dr. Tomasina Chupco Gilliam (Project Specialist for The Native Learning Center) and Miss. Cheyenne Kippenberger (2019-2020 Miss Indian World) discuss different forms of human trafficking as well as provide resources to raise awareness of the issue that is happening in Indian Country. Cheyenne mentions her human trafficking training with Center for Native American Youth (CNAY) and how she was surprised at the statistical rates within Indian Country as well as outside of Indian Country. The ladies go over preventative measures and signs/indicators that may be seen in human trafficking dynamics.
