God’s Final Word: The Supremacy of His Son (Part 4) Humanity’s Perfect HumanHebrews 2:5-9Imagine a garden designed with breathtaking intention. Every flower is perfectly selected, its color and fragrance revealing the gardener’s care. Trees and vines grow all throughout the garden, creating blankets of shade to protect the other life. The whole landscape reflects the gardener’s wisdom and skill. But over time, weeds invade, beauty fades, and destruction takes its place. The garden no longer reflects what it was meant to be. Then the master gardener arrives. He kneels into the dirt and patiently pulls up every weed, restoring the garden until it is more vibrant and beautiful than ever before. This picture provides a glimpse into a far greater story. Through who he is and what he does, Jesus sets God’s project for humanity back on track. He is humanity’s perfect human. The one who enters our broken world, bears its destruction, and restores creation to its intended glory. Join us this Sunday as we reflect on the one who fulfills humanity’s calling and brings God’s creation back to life.
