Humility: The Cardinal Virtue (Part 3 of 5)

from MVCC Podcast · host MVCC

It has been said that “pride is the root of every sin and evil.” If so, humility, the place of entire dependence upon God, is from the very nature of things, the first duty and the highest virtue, the root of every virtue.” It is simply the sense of nothingness, which comes when we see how truly God is all, and in which we make way for God to be all. If indeed humility is the root of every virtue, why then do we do so little to seek to obtain it? Why do we strive so hard to seek fame and fortune, success and notoriety, pleasure and popularity, as opposed to dependence and lowliness? These are not easy questions, but they will be asked and we will see God’s answer. Please join us at Mountain View Community Church, beginning Sunday, May 16, for our five part series, HUMILITY: The Cardinal Virtue.
