HUNGER FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS!

from The Kingdom Of God First Podcast. · host Tewe Kolade Felix

Scripture: "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled." — Matthew 5:6 (NKJV) Devotional Message: To hunger and thirst for righteousness is to desire God above all else—to long for His will, His ways, and His presence in every area of life. Just as our physical bodies crave food and water, our souls are designed to crave righteousness, the very character of God. This hunger is not about self-righteousness or legalism. It’s about a deep yearning to live in a way that honours the Lord, to be more like Jesus in thought, word, and action. It's the heart that says, “Lord, change me, shape me, fill me with what pleases You.” Jesus promises that those who truly hunger and thirst in this way will be satisfied—not with temporary things, but with the fullness of God Himself. He fills us with peace, purpose, strength, and joy that no earthly thing can match. Today, ask yourself: Do I crave the things of God more than the things of this world? What am I truly seeking to be filled with? Prayer: AlmightyFather, stir in me a deeper hunger for You and Your righteousness. Fill me with Your truth and grace so I can live in a way that reflects Your heart. May my desires be shaped by Your Word and guided by Your Spirit. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
