Hungry Games

from Thought Rebellion · host Thought Rebellion

As Human beings at some point we became sufficiently safe and secure enough to develop the notion of playing games, The basic philosophy of playing games is to simulate a repeatable scenario, sometimes, - but not exclusively , in competition with others , as well as individually or as a team, -! within each game there are clear achievable goals that challenge the skill , intelligence and or fitness of the players , who are either in the pursuit of simply enjoying the time spent or are chasing the satisfaction that comes from winning … All that is innocent enough , that is until the games we play and the entertainment we seek starts to reach for extremes in order to keep its audience engaged, perhaps distracted . Basic bat and ball , hoop and net sports have evolved along with the races of mankind , some games have links to the ancient past , while others began decades or mere years ago Though it seems a long way from the colosseum to the cages of mma the part of mans nature that knows conflict , is still today transfixed by the rage of battle and competition But where does it end , following history and highlighting and examining the recent and current trends in entertainment , we very well may find ourselves back where it all began
