Hunter Kisner; Changing Migration and Bird Habits
from Midwest Flyways Podcast · host Midwest Flyways
We sit down with our friend and hunting guide, Hunter Kisner. Hunter has been guiding for different outfitters around the country and has seen a lot of different bird behavior and changes over the last few years. We discuss his career choices, leaving a teaching job to pursue full time guiding and why he’s so passionate about hunting and fishing. Then we get into some different discussions involving birds and how their migration habits are changing. We talk geese roosting on sandbars, mallards not leaving Canada until extremely late in the season, and moon cycle feeding as well as a bunch of other things we’ve noticed hunting birds around the country.
