Hunting elk in September and October

In this episode of Ballistic Chronicles we are in southern Colorado in the San Juan mountains. We have just wrapped up an elk hunt with outfitter Travis Reed. Reed is the owner of Western Sky Outfitters and Elk Quest. It’s about 2:00 in the afternoon, we have gone 3 for 3 on trophy bulls and now we’re talking about hunting elk in the breeding season. We talk calls and calling and what the calls mean. Travis has been guiding and outfitting for 20 years and his career has taken him all over the world. He grew up in New York but makes his home in the West.
