Huntsville with Kids | Space, Science, and Family Fun in Alabama

One of the great things about the domestic travel series is having the opportunity to learn more about these different cities. Huntsville, Alabama has long been known for the US Space and Rocket Center and for Space Camp. Those two attractions are well worth the trip on their own. But if you take a deeper look, there is so much more to this international city.  Kristen Pepper and Beth Ridgeway from the Madison County Convention and Visitors Bureau give us the inside information on “Rocket City”. Make sure and listen to the podcast to hear about their Trip Advisor Traveler’s Choice award winners for 2020.  In the age of COVID, Huntsville has some exceptional outdoor spaces that allow you to enjoy food and music and still keep that social distancing in place. The town also offers a vibrant and historic downtown area that you’ll definitely want to check out.  The US Space and Rocket Center is a pretty amazing attraction. Kristen also pointed out that Huntsville is not a museum dedicated to past space projects, Huntsville is front and center on the mission to get to Mars.  Big thank you to Kristen and Beth for coming on the show. Make sure and give it a listen!
