Hurricane Helene devastates the Carolinas (Ep 246)

In an afternoon news conference yesterday….SC Gov Henry McMaster said The Helene-related death toll in South Carolina has now risen to 25 Meanwhile…Death toll mounts in North Carolina as electric and cell service has made it difficult to rescue many who need help.  Officials in the Tarheel state report 38 deaths confirmed with more expected. Duke Energy says they have never seen a storm like this in the company’s history. Helene left behind catastrophic damage across the Carolinas service territory, particularly in upstate South Carolina and western North Carolina. We have the latest updates from across the Carolinas.
