I survived Hurricane Dorian, and even traded during the storm itself. Honestly, it wasn't all that impressive, and in fact, I'm more annoyed at how much the media over-hyped the storm than anything else. August was a solid month of trading for me - the market declined over 2% and for myself, I made a very solid profit. Those kinds of months, where I can buck the market's price action is so critical to my long-term success, and also allows for me to avoid the dreaded portfolio draw down.
