Hurzeler’s Battle Against Palmer | Chelsea F.C. News

Brighton’s Fabian Hurzeler admits Chelsea’s Cole Palmer is a nightmare to defend one-on-one, but he’s doubling down with numbers and tactics. With Palmer on fire—especially after that four-goal demolition last season—and Chelsea finding form with wins over Fulham and Luton, Hurzeler knows it’s not just about stopping one star. He’s also wary of Joao Pedro and Morgan Rogers, praising Chelsea’s overall quality and manager Xabi Alonso. And don’t forget: Danny Welbeck, Brighton’s own former striker, might be lurking on the bench as a goal threat. Hurzeler even joked Welbeck should take a rest—clearly still holding him in high regard. This Sunday’s clash promises a tactical chess match between two teams riding momentum, with history slightly against Brighton—but respect all around.
