Forty years ago John Toland was shot dead while working in the Happy Landing bar in Eglinton. She was left to bring up their seven children - the oldest 15 and youngest 7. Now for the first Marie has talked about the devastating impact her husbands murder had on their lives. She is one of 28 women who lost a loved one in the troubles who told their stories in the book Beyond the Silence. It has been put together by Creggan Enterprises and was launched last night by actress Bronagh Gallagher.Enda McClafferty has been speaking to Marie about the night her husband was murdered.
