Summary

"Hush Money" is an embellished take on Pink Floyd's "Money". I produced this track for a TV commercial spot in Australia. Often times as you hear on TV sometimes songs are done that "sound" like other songs "sort of". This is an example of a song embellishment and since I got permission to share it I thought I would. It's almost Van Halen meets Pink Floyd and it's important to note that while based on Pink Floyd's "Money" the riff is completely different, I added some elements and changed the flow a bit, but the vibe remains the same, and that's what's important when doing any kind of track like this. The first note and the last note of the riff are important to keep the texture and feel. The notes in between those two are fair game so to speak. Just a tip if you want to try messing around with some of your favorite songs. If nothing else it's a great learning excercise. Enjoy.. take it with a grain of salt, these types of songs are always in good fun.. But having said that... CRANK IT UP!!! This thing cranks and is well worth blowing some speakers over for sure..
