Nebraska has a chance for its first three game winning streak since October 2016, when the Huskers started 7-0 ahead of a critical game against Wisconsin.  This effort at a trifecta looks radically different as the Huskers have battled back from a 1-3 start to evening things up and sitting at 3-3 overall following wins against Indiana and Rutgers.  That’s why it is the perfect time to get hyped for this game against Purdue on Saturday. The Husker247 crew plus Jack Mitchell talked through the game, the matchups and what oddly specific things could happen along the way. Among the conversations had on Thursday morning was if Nebraska’s best offense is throwing deep passes to Trey Palmer, which Huskers are on the mend and which could be playing Saturday, if Nebraska can put together an attack against a strong Purdue defense and what to make of Casey Thompson’s season so far.  Then things switch to the defense where we learn what life might look like without Luke Reimer if the linebacker is unable to go in the middle, who’s going to stop Charlie Jones and if the Huskers are equipped to make Saturday night hell for Aidan O’Connell behind a beat up Boilermaker line.  Then the gang discusses oddly specific predictions which seem to be focused on turnovers and big plays for Nebraska, before selecting picks to click and providing game predictions.
