We had the pleasure of a special guest today, Former UConn Football star and Captain.... Mike Burton. I wanted to have him on months ago but his schedule always busy. I said it before and Ill say it again, Mike is the definition of what it means to Bleed Blue. Nobody has given back more than Mike and his family. I asked why he continues to pay it forward and he credits his father for ingraining those values in him. Mr. Burton literally came from nothing and said earning a full scholarship to play football at Murray State changed his life. The lessons we learn from the greatest team sport ever are building blocks for life. Dedication, discipline, hard work, toughness, teamwork, and overcoming adversity are just to name a few. Mike watched out and took care of me when I was a freshman. I admire and am thankful for his leadership. For once I'll let the podcast do the talking because this was a great one. I will say I am excited to sit with Mike at the Temple game on October 5th and have a blast. He created Bleeding Blue For Good and Storrs Central to raise NIL money for UConn.
