hVIVO order book tops £65m as CEO backs strong H2 recovery

hVIVO PLC (AIM: HVO) CEO Yamin 'Mo' Khan joined Proactive's Stephen Gunnion to discuss the company's latest trading update, highlighting a record order book of more than £65 million that supports expectations for a much stronger second half of 2026. Khan explained why first-half revenue of around £16.3 million and a modest adjusted EBITDA loss were always expected, with contract wins weighted towards the second half of the year. He said one of the company's strongest-ever periods of new business, following the launch of its integrated clinical development platform, has extended revenue visibility into 2027 and 2028. The interview also explored a 45% increase in inbound requests for proposals, reflecting growing demand across a broader range of services, including human challenge studies, early-phase clinical trials, laboratory services and consulting. Khan discussed how hVIVO has evolved from a specialist human challenge CRO into a diversified clinical research business capable of delivering end-to-end programmes, while pointing to improving biotech funding conditions as a positive backdrop for future growth.
